Depuis 2009, le CSTB travaille en collaboration avec des industriels des produits de construction sur un concept d'outil d'aide à la prescription : le "configurateur". Cette génération d'outils a pour but d'aider un prescripteur à choisir, spécifier et mettre en œuvre (virtuellement) les produits et systèmes qui constitueront tout ou partie d'un projet de construction. En corrélant cette approche avec la notion d'accès "sémantisé" aux informations réglementaires et aux informations disponibles dans un bâtiment en exploitation, est apparue l'idée de compiler toutes les sources d'informations nécessaires au bon déroulement d'un projet de construction : le référentiel numérique. // Since 2009, CSTB has been collaborating with product manufacturer of the building sector, on the concept of prescription assistance tool: the "Configurator". This new kind of tool aims at helping the prescriber to select, specify and (virtually) implement products and systems that will be part of a building project. By relating this subject with the ideas of semantic access to regulation information and of using information available during building exploitation, appears the notion of gathering all numerical information necessary to the success of the project: the numerical referential.
